Custom/Hybrid Pole spring question

I have a cast RRP pole and a Xmetal bracket, right now it is running the pinched setup and extremely tight, I just cant get used to it. So i want to loosen it up and add a pole spring.

What spring should i buy and do i need to do anything else when installing it? I know its kind of a odd setup because of the RRP pole and different bracket.

Thanks,Bryan

Maybe try mounting a RRP style spring tensioner wedge to your bracket and use a stock OEM RN spring. I'm the same way I can't get used to a tight pole.

something like this.

The tight pole is irritating tendonitis in my elbow, thinking of going with a long bolt and a spring on my Xmetal pole. Theres a thread on here somewhere that said 650sx springs work on Xmetal poles, not sure why it wouldn't work on a RRP :dunno:

Yep that thread was jloria's glass SF build and I believe the Buzzard suggested it. I can't stand a ski without a spring. You can always semi tighten pole with a spring to get both benefits.

Yeah that's what i planned on doing, still running it kind of tight with a spring. I just cant get used to having to yank up on the pole all the time LOL. Im already out of shape and with this new ski and pole setup im tired after a 10min ride lol.

Thanks for the suggestions anyone have any other ideas or actually what they used to run a spring.
