FX-1 Poles! ATP vs XMetal...

I can get the ATP for $1050 with custom colors/chinpad and it is lighter than the RRP. I know that RRP has their new lightweight pole out now that weighs the same, but it is several hundred more and looks like a goddamn abortion. $1400+ for the same deal? F that. I think the Titan looks like ass too and they are more of a copy than the ATP.

The good thing about the RRP is that you can sell it used for $50 less than what you originally paid for it!

Your language totally impresses me. Please check your language at the door.

It is a POLE...
I think the XScream looks better, weighs less, easier to adjust and certainly costs less.

No brainer.

This is the only pole shot I have at the moment. Xmetal looks pretty slick on the F1pro. Can be adjusted and ready to ride again in a couple of minutes. A slightly modified UMI style spring works great in this setup too. I tried to snag a wdk pole for a few years and gave up. One of those would be bomb too if it was -5 or so.

Post edited to un-impress the impressed and offended. I wasn't aware this was a strictly G rated forum.

No brainer.

It depends on how much adjustability you need/want and I know one guy were the XM pole failed at the weld just information, I'll stick with my RRP

Is that an adjustable pole? They had issues with the older fixed length poles (I broke one), but I haven't heard or seen an adjustable one break yet. Just curious.

Not sure how I was wrong about anything, but how about getting back to the original topic?

POLES!

Specifically ATP vs Xmetal... I just missed getting a used Xmetal last night. If I can find a used Xmetal for ~$500 I'll get it; if I have to go new I think I'll go with the ATP. If anyone has an Xmetal for sale, PM me!

if its weight your worried about go X-Metal, if it is strength all I can recomend is cast RRP or Billet if you just like to be a baller. Never broke or seen anyone break either so strenth is there regardles of billet or cast. On the other hand I have seen PLENTY of broken x-metal poles. I cannot offer any feedback on the ATP pole as I know no one personally that has had one any length of time.
Dont let the chinpad detour you either way as you can get a TOBY pad for the RRP poles for $150 turfed and shipped and it will last as long or longer than the rrp pretty pad that cost twice as much once shipped.

IMO a used RRP pole would be your best bet. I just sold a silver billet one for $800, shoulda grabbed it LOL. But a used or new cast pole is just as good strength wise. I will never spend the extra $ on the billet one again unless I just want the light weight version. My original rrp cast pole has lasted 5 years and through 3 owners now so..........

Ya totally agree, especially with the chin pad part, I'll never order a RRP one, they are over priced and not very strong

BUT, they look cool! haha.

I havn't had problems than mine. Only blemishes it has is from when it was dropped by a friend... That put a damper on my day. $265 for a chin pad and it's all banged up before it even made it on the ski.

Sorry to see that RRP isn't an option for you. There is a reason that it's the most widely used aftermarket pole in the industry.

I used to have an older non-adjustable X-Metal pole. I loved the looks and it worked well. I even got it run well with a pole spring after a lot of testing.

The thing i don't like about them is that they are powder coated which didn't hold up with salt water use for me. Other than that it was great!
