Can you fit a 155 in a kdx? I know fitting a 148 was tightt and required a good amount of grinding on the ride plate.

Yes the panty dropper hull had a 155 pump in it last and has a 155 shoe in it with XS ring to accept a 148 with oring.

Whatever XS says is the correct answer. You are probably getting advice from 98% of the people here who don't have a xs900 or kdx

I have a 155 in a FR2 with a ported 701 and it pulls out of the water better then a 144. But it doesn't have that snap a 144 has but I'm sure with a xs900 you will have plenty of power for it.

Youd be happy with either. But there is a reason all the AM xscream boys are running 155s+ and taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at every stop..

Another consideration is that most guys that build a FW ski progress, get use to the HP and then want a bigger motor.

I dont do this kind of riding, but xmetal does ride at the same lake i do so i get to talk to them and ask a bunch of questions and what not. They are super cool and helpful. I think you should go to the source. They really know their poop. Also, they arent just big business, they are riders building cool poop for themselves and want other riders to succeed.

I changed my vote. I have a oem 155 complete with trim setup for sale cheap. Just sayin. Maybe add a tbm stuffer and call it good enough?
