pop-off gage accuracy test

How can I check the accuracy of my Mikuni pop off gage? I keep it lubricated with castor oil per the manufacturer. I suspect it may be off since the psi reading I get for two new Mikuni 2.3 needle seat and new arms with 65 gram springs is 8 pounds, and the charts say it should be 15 psi. With an 80 gram spring it goes to 11 psi and a 115 spring goes to 21 psi. It is the same on each of my sbn 44-40-8052 dual carbs. I plug into the inlet with the gage and cover the outlet with a finger. I am using wd40 to fill the needle seat cavity. Thanks!

If you can unscrew the gage, you might consider replacing it with another 0-30 psi- they're inexpensive.

Find a gauge you can trust and pump air into it. The numbers on the mikuni and the numbers in the gauge you are pumping into should match.
