kx454 likes to slam Yamaha skis such as 'they are all turds if you ask me'. His ski runs nice, but he's also done a ton of work on it like moving the engine back in the hull for better balance.

I replied on your other thread.

So the superjet really is worth the extra money? What is it that's "wrong" with a sxr? Just doesn't handle as good?

Right now I am looking to get a new bike and was kinda leaning to the sxr because it is over a thousand dollars cheaper than a SJ. I currently have a 1991 650 sx and it just isn't enough for me anymore.

Actually, the SXR handles too good. Sticks to the water and turns great.

For freestyle, you want a loose ski that slides around. If your not gonna do barrel rolls on small waves or flat water, you can get either ski. The Superjet is also more "nose light". The nose is up making it easier to jump. The sxr is more nose down making it harder to jump on small waves. (It plows through them). However, if you ride in a lot of chop and are chasing boat wakes, the SJ are a pain in the ass to ride in chop compared to an SXR.

I have a blast on my SXR. They rip, even stock.

I live at the lake of the ozarks and we have quite a few boats and generally I don't ride when it is choppy because it is harder to hit the boat waves right in the first place. Also the majority of the boats are runabouts and pontoons etc and don't make a very large wave(some cruisers go by every now and then but I usually don't get a chance to hit them, lol)

A reason I am thinking of going with the yamaha is it is a lot closer of a place to go and we have all yamaha's at our dock(for rentals, we have 5 vx 110's) plus I know a lot of the people there and I am pretty sure I can get at least a few hundred dollars off.
