Super Jet Ported 760 vs ported 61x

I have a ported cases and about to port my cylinders. I have dual 44's and mod bpipe in a carbon Gen 1. The question I have is should I port my 61x cylinders or my 760 cylinders? If I were to port my 760 cylinders I would use my 701 port template so port timing should be the Sam right? Would I get the same bottom end and more mid range with 760 ported w/ 701 template? Also I have ported 62t cases.

That sounds like an awesome idea! I can't believe that no pro engine builders have thought of doing this...

Sounds too good to be true, just hope I'm using the right font

X2. If you want to learn something and don't mind spending lots of time and potentially money (tools, cylinder, pistons, etc), port your own stuff.
If you just want a motor that runs and rips as much as possible, spend the money up front and pay a pro to do it right, once.

Aren't the 62T ports higher by something like 2mm?

Anyways, lay that template on the 760 and see how different they actually are.

yes 2mm, the base of the cyl can be carefully milled without removing the sleeves. Then it requires custom cut domes to compensate...sj762 had his done this way by XS along with porting and it has great low end hit...

To clarify: The base of cyl at the bottom needs milled to lower port timing not "decked" on top where the head seals...
OK. Well if i did mill the bottom by 2-3mm and ported with a 701 sport port template but increased the width of the port to the appropriate width for a 760 would this setup be a good freestyle setup?

Your engine builder will know how much to mill the bottom and understand you must always run custom cut domes...a bored/ported 701 is a cheaper way to go unless your builder is a friend.

I've got a ported 760 with a decked 1.5mm cylinder, and negative decked domes to compensate and this thing has great bottom end power, it was built by sjetrider and i couldn't be happier with the power for the money. comparing it to my old ported 701 there's noticeably better bottom end hit.
