Recently on a business venture my brother got set up with an injection molding company that can do various plastics such as ABS, delrin, Nylon, glass filled nylon, etc. I got to thinking that there were some parts on superjets that could be duplicated such as stock F/A's and the electrical box. I wanted to see if there was any interest in doing an electrical box cover that would allow the use of hex head bolts versus the tapping screws. While there is a huge startup cost associated with the making of the mold, if there is enough interest in just about anything made of various plastics, then it is very feasible with my brothers current connection at the company.
So what do you all think? Ebox covers that dont use self-tapping screws? Stock F/A (the price would have to be similiar but it would function the same and look a little cooler), anyone else wishing something was made that didnt? Also let me note, if you have CAD files, I have access to a prototype printer that would allow testing of any parts before injection molding is pursued. Any thoughts? They also do mass produced CNC parts
