Possible ptoblem with Raider trim on B-1

I put a waveraider trim on my 155 mm @Torrent pump on my B-1 with a extended pro tec steering nozzle. I have full up and down trim, and I'm worried that the added length on steering nozzle with full trim at full thrust could break a trim system on component. Anyone hear of this ever happening?

How long is the extended Pro-Tec nozzle? If it's the shorter +20mm extended nozzle, you would probably be just fine, but I can't speak for the one longer than that.

If I were you, I would ABSOLUTELY add a Waveblaster 2 steering cable (can be found on ebay usually) with the longer Pro-Tec nozzle. You will also need an ADA Waveblaster 2 steering cable conversion bracket. If you do this, you will shouldn't have any issues.

I'm not so much worried about the steering cable but all the plastic components on the Wave Raider pulley and and of trim cable that mounts to the pulley is plastic..not sure if it's just a plastic coating covering metal but I doubt it. What your knowledge on this?

They are giving you good advice, The steering cables can bend when using trim. The B2 cable is a much stronger cable.

When I had questions about my Pro Tec nozzle for my 1100 Blaster build, I called Pro Tec tech support directly and they were very helpful. That might be worth a shot. Here's their info:

I called Pro tec and they said they only had problems with the Waveraider steering rod bowing. They said the B-1 is much shorter and they never heard of any issues. I just spent 5 months building this thing, added @torrent 155 pump, @carterbrackett 155 intake tunnel , Eaveraider twist handlebar trim and moved exhaust to the rear. I'm gonna take my chances if it bends than I'll have to fix it but I'll be damned if I'm gonna tear it all apart. I talked to Carter Brackett and he said I should be fine too. Guess I see. Thanks for your advice though. Wish I would have know when I had it torn apart I would have got the B-2 cable.i actually have a GP1200 steering cable but do you know if it would be long enough being the hood/handle bars are fixed mounted and don't prop up like the B-1 hood? Thanks!!

With the extra long Pro-Tec nozzle, there's a good chance the Blaster 1. It's really not worth the risk, in my opinion. It's a good way to kill a fun day on the water. Spend a couple bucks now, and have peace of mind......it's worth it, trust me.
