can you pm me and tell me how that 1200 is breathing? We are putting a dasa 1200 in a Hurricane and have an Xmetal pole as well but there is NO WAY that pole will supply enough air to this motor? any and all help appreciated?

maybe idk what im talking about but i highly doubt the slight throttle blips we do in freestyle would be hard to keep up with. there is a large volume of air in that engine bay u need to drain before the vacuum would choke out the motor. but thats just my thought.

I have first hand experience with this in my Footrocket that only had pole breathers. 1200's need a lot of air!!

Well U would be surprised sir, I have seen 1000cc motors with 48mm carbs suck a liner out of a hood and experienced crappy running boats because they could not breath. Its an issue bro, I assure you. Bigger the motor, bigger the issue. Ask Tricky how much air that Xscream 1400 needs, hell he cannot even run FA's because they choke it down, Xscream had to make basically open air wide screen FA's to get them enough air.
NO way a 1200 will breath thru xmetal pole tubes alone, it wont run at all past about a minute.

I tried running an 865 in a modded square with just an Xmetal pole to supply air.
You could see the hood get sucked down at an idle if you gave it a blip. Had to build a hood liner with dual 2 inch breathers plus the handlepole breather just to make it run safely.

@Teamsquarenose had an xs900 in his bob getting all the air from the pole and it ran like crap, they we cut two huge holes in the hood liner
and it was like night and day difference.

your half way there LOL, shorten it, then make a cheap mold off top and bottom and make ya a light one. I have always wanted to but just no time and I have a buddy (TOBY) that made me exactly what I needed.
