Is this a picture thread or a for sale thread?

87 650, shiny paint, 38mm carb, Skat SS 8/16, short cone, moved the exhaust back, other little stuff - it's a fun ski

Did you notest any difference when you put the freestyle pump cone in? I am doing a 750 x2 and cant deside if I should buy one or not.

Sorry, I wouldn't know - I didn't ride this one before I bought it and tore it apart (it needed some hull work). Comparing to my friend's stock 89 650 does me no good either with the carb/impeller/stock-exhaust-mod changes I did. It has more low end power and can catch and pull away pretty quickly at top speed but that is probably a combination of all of it.

I'll put the stock one back on next time out and see if I can tell a difference. It's still rideable here in TX...

I am building another 650 and I am going to experiment a little more with these little changes (carbs, manifolds, pipes (and drying them out), short cone, intake grates).

that's a very nice 650 mx21!

Thanks - it was a fun project. I rode an 87 a lot when they first came out and it was cool riding one 14 years later - "like riding a bike" - it was instantly familiar. Here is the original condition:

I also just picked up an 89 that I am starting on as a winter project.

on fire.....

Let me know if you test it out. I know its only 40 bucks but Budget is tight with buying a 750 and a factory pipe.

I road a 550 with a flat deck and it felt weird the first few rides but once you get the hang of it I think it feels pretty good. It was a stock 550 so didn't realy have a chance to do freestyle.
