Hey, im thinking about getting B pipe powder coated, mani, headpipe and chamber.

Any recommendations?

No but probably looks better. Boring, port match and polish helps but you cant see that

I prefer ceramic coating my pipes over powder coating. Looks better and actually improves performance.

Lot's of conflicting data on actual power enhancement on a 2-stroke but the overall idea is that it bleeds less heat so the pipe gets up to temp faster and holds the heat longer so it widens the power band.

I first heard about it's affect on some of the older aftermarket exhausts that had a very tricky and narrow power band. Certain pipes liked a very specific heat range and could be difficult to tune. Guy's who had theirs coated had far greater success.

I chose to do mine more for the the added corrosion resistance and reduced overall maintenance than anything. I had a one year old B-pipe that all the powder coating had flaked off and was looking for a bulletproof solution.

Ceramic was a little more expensive but it looks better and stands up to salt water better; any performance gains were really just bonus.

It is. I sent all three parts in to get coated.

It actually looks kinda dingy but I have never attempted to clean it up either so it has a decent layer of oil and WD-40 on it.

IIRC, it cost me $175 to have it all done and I would do it again.

I spray bombed mine with high temp engine enamel. It flips like a dream! And cost me 10 bucks.

Too busy making shiny new things for other people to bother with my stuff. Both our ski's are severely and uncharacteristically neglected.
