how well does powder coating hold up on a jet ski? i will be riding in only fresh water and was wondering if i should powder coat the handlepole. My uncle does powder coating so cost isnt an issue
never had a problem with this but it was a pain to do all the masking
Powdercoating is not awful in saltwater. Its the prep job and how you treat it which determines how its gonna hold up. If it gets beat up and scratched then the aluminum will corrode under it and force it to pop. So yea, rideplates and intake grates will flake. But stuff like engine parts and handlebars will last forever.
Ps, I do powdercoating.
Teflon? Interesting.
Do you cook with it?
Only burgers, easy cleanup.
