Clean with a degreaser (i use lacquer thinner)...the whole assembly from bottom bracket to bellows to piston. I smear a little thread sealant on the bottom housing lip before I put the bellows on and I do a thin ring of it around the lip of the bellows where it connects to the piston. Make sure ur spring gaskets aren't shot too. I ordered new ones last year for my seadoo that has PV's.

Mine popped once on my second or third ride. I got them back on and they have never popped again. :dunno:

There was a thread awhile back where guys were taking a bicycle inner tube and making a sleeve that slid over the bellow lip and held it on.

lockwire is a good substitute for the spring, clean em good and clean em some more before reassembling, mine have popped off once or twice, but its no big deal

the power valve boots on my team scream ss 865 motor keep popping off.... any ideas?

Mine use to blow off all the time when I had the Epic ignition, I changed it out for a MSD Enhancer and have not had a boot blow off in over a year and I ride every weekend!

X2... mine popped a couple times, pretty easy to get back on except for the rear cylinder. Have not had it happen in over a year.
