I'm just wondering what people are using for gas tanks and battery setups when using a PowerFactor exhaust. I'm looking for a slick setup and I'm having trouble finding one.
surprise ... no one has made a pfp friendly larger tank yet .... i have seen a lot of jazz tanks or 9 liter tanks with that pipe .. if you can id get a custom one fabbed up, for more fuel capacity
Does anyone make a gas tank and battery holder all as one unit? I thought I saw one a while back made of carbon or some sort of composite? I'm really surprised that there isn't a ton of these things on the market... There is certainly the demand.
My ski is torn down now, but I like my set up. 9l kart tank mounted sideways and has room for a deka in front of it, without hitting the pipe. So the battery stays center mounted and is easily accessible. Running an Antigravity battery there now.
Just for grins, (If you have a kart tank) set it in sideways next to your front cover and see how much more room you get between your tank and pipe. Depending on your tank it's a very tidy set up and not as cramped.
If you get a small enough battery, you can fit it between exhaust manifold and bulkhead. More weight in the center instead of upfront. I ran a 3 gallon Jazz tank in my SF.
OEM 98 RN hull, I just installed a DEKA ETX14L battery behind my left rear motor mount and bulkhead. I made my own battery box out of aluminum to go in the corner.
Ya, I like that idea too. I was surfing around last night and found this picture at Blowsion...
They have a Revolver for sale and they mounted the battery in that location too.
Looks good and clean.
As far as the battery location goes. The ballistic and others use multiple cells so why could you not build a battery in other shapes ? If you could do that It would open up tons of options. Just a thought .
