Prepreg Carbon Carnage

I've been trying the '180 to flip' for a few weeks now. I finally found my nuts this past weekend and started trying them off a setup wakes and boat wakes. Feet popped out of the holds on my final attempt and I did the 'Super Flying Wishbone' trick. Limit rope failed and this is what I got. Rope end had a horseshoe thimble crimped with a single wire and covered with heat-shrink. It'll be a splice or a good ol' knot for this guy from now on.

I got it all sanded down last night just waiting on some materials. Man this this thing is paper thin in front of the pole mount. Probably not the best hull to be learning flips n rolls on.

nope! It had 2 big triangle shaped stringers glued in that spanned the entire top section of the nose but they just popped off and were laying in front of my waterbox.

Dang, this is the same hull I was planning on learning flips and rolls on too! Guess I'll just have to reinforce that area during my winter build...

You're right. I've been wanting to maybe put a little heel padding down to help me stay in. Or try different shoes? I come loose way too easy. I didn't let go. My lower half just separated from the ski. I felt the crunch through the pole when I hit the water. I'm sure it looked as stupid as it sounds.

this ski is pre-preg carbon fiber, brand new hull brand new paint and he got it just 6 months or so ago
