PRO Freestyle Sunday at Nats

WF is the only place that people bitch and it is always the japs that bitch. No one complains about Nationals.

Oh, the Japs bitched about the FS-1 and the Q8's. They will show up with their copy and expect to be able to run them. But I think they changed the rules after last year (IJSBA)

Really? "Japs"???? .... ugh how ignorant.

It's not only the Japanese riders that call foul, but wouldn't you be a little raw too if you traveled that far to a competition and someone who wasn't playing by the rules won?? .... every time!!

It shouldn't be up to the competitors to complain. It should be an automatic DQ for those outside of the rules. (Yes, the rules have always been a little wonky, but they ARE the rules)

I forgot!
they should put one ski out for all pro's to compete on. who can do the best without their own setup. then it will be about the rider and not the ride.

Pro freestyle should be unlimited at this point, there is so many changes and they happen so quick that you cant keep a rule book to fit them. No rules!

Pro freestyle should run two classes:
Superstock (or some variation)
And Unlimited Mod (run whatcha brung outlaw-type).

I think that would make it fun again to watch.....it would be like the old days (meaning early 90's...where guys who finessed the skis were the most fun to watch and usually won), and yet you could see the big air in Unlimited mod.
You'd get the best of both worlds.

Japs = Slang for Japanese.

It was the ones last year who cried foul. But guess what, the hulls did not meet the rules. You can search my post and you will see where I mentioned that fact. I am glad that they are following the rules.

I think back in 2004 or so everybody had the big engines, they started talking about the fact that they were teching engine size at Finals, many yanked their big motors and put in smaller motors to be within the rules. They did not tech and many still ran oversize motors. Those who followed the rules got screwed.

My thoughts, Pro = run what you brung. AM. OEM Hulls only and 800cc limit.

I like having a claiming rule like motocross did in the 70's. Bob Hannaha ran his air cooled bike one race because he was scared a privateer hot on the pro's heels would claim it and then get to use it at the next race. His air cooled bike seized and he didn't get many points that race. I guess he should have ran the water cooled bike?...

That would make things interesting! So it wouldn't be one ski for all but more like if you are running something illegal, than any competitor can claim it and use it for their run.
