FX-1 Pro Tec pipe in a FX-1?

I picked up a pro tec pipe for a good price and I want to put it in the FX-1. It looks like it won't clear the tank. Anyone do this and what all did you have to do? Thanks

I had one in my fx-1 for a while. Its a tight fit and it may rub the hood lip a little bit, but as for clearing the tank it will clear it any day.

As long as the stinger cone points straightforward like the one in that pic, you'll be ok. Some Protec pipes had the stinger section where you see the welded bead, were clocked at a diff position like pointing right into the fuel tank

Ok cool. The one in the pic is my actual pipe so I'm gonna throw it in and see if it works. Can't wait to ride the fx-1 with some power!

Do it it hit better then a bpipe. Two buddy's ran similar setups and when I hit it I always pulled away. I will be assebleing my second fx1 in the next few weeks when it's back from paint. Bought a hull from neighbor with sj intake tunnel now I don't gotta rush other build.

you forgot to mention that your motor was bored, ported and had dual carbs! :) It still hit really good though, not as hard as a b pipe on an equivalent engine however.
