Superjet - Great for Freeriding & Freestyle.

SXR - Great for Racing, Running Bouys, Ripping up the lake (lots of turning) or cruising.

SXR - Not a good freestyle/freeride platform due to the fact it is a designed race ski.

you have your superjet lovers (myself) and your sxr lovers...its totally personal opinion. your best bet (if your a competent standup rider) is to get on both a few times and see which ones you like better.

i ride in the ocean so the superjet was a much better/easier choice for me, but i have also ridden an sxr and its handling is unmatched.

also...do a search next time...there are about 52 million of these exact threads

Riding an SXR is like riding a fat girl.

They Bigger, Heavier, Eat More and Great for Cruising.:jester:

Just don't let your friends see you on one :biggrin:

I've never seen much compared with the Polaris and Hydrospace for weight and performance either. Anyone care to elaborate?

Polaris falls between the SJ and SXR as far as weight goes. Performance wise it is basically a mild limted. Many say the B Pipe is unfair in stock class, but in reality the B Pipe makes the same or maybe less power than the OEM pipe that came in the Polaris runabout with the same motor. Only reason for the BPipe is because the stock pipe would not fit. The pump is similar to a mag pump. They hook up really well. Handling, they do not turn well, Polaris changed the design from Wamiltons original concept some.

HYDROSPACE. They are hit or miss. Many have problems with them. An SXR with a good driver can easily beat one on the course. I have. But a Hydrospace with a really good driver can be really tough to beat. It is a different animal. Not a freeride ski at all. Honestly, unless you race and are prepaired for the headaches I would not recommend one.

All this talk about preferences got me thinking, so bear with me....

I would say approximately 10% of the standup riders prefer SXRs (kind of like 10% of the population prefers the the same sex).

So the question is; what is your "orientation"?

:pancake::pancake::pancake::pancake:

I wonder if preferring an SXR over a SuperJet can be attributed to "nature or nuture" (not that there is anything wrong with that). :thinking:
