Problem with 650 motor Superjet

Well i bought a brand new battery for this summer because my old one took a dump. Charged it up put it in. Cranked right up. Road it all week no problems. Got out today and it started being stubborn. Not wanting to run, Would turn over fine. I would have to prime it and then it was fine. Well After part of the day any time the motor went into idle the motor would stall and then it would be very very difficult to start. I changed out the Spark plugs and checked the spark everything was fine there. Changed out the fuel filter as well. But at that point i had cranked on it so much my battery was low. Hooked it up to the truck and it cranked right up (of course out of the water) well Put it back in the water and was having issues getting it to run. once i got it to run and took off it would be fine everything ran fine, until i stop then it goes back to :):):):) and want start. How do i figure out if its a carb, battery, fuel issue? Thanks For all the help

Pull the carb off and check it out. Make sure the small filter inside the carb is not pluged. Also check the needle and seat and make sure it looks good.

K i will look at the carb tomorrow when i go back out to the lake. Guess i just need to go through and check one thing at a time. I put my battery on the charger and so its ready to go. How would i go about checking out the stator?

Just got back from the lake. Man it was cold. Well put the fully Re charged battery in and still had the hard to start had to prime it pretty good to get it going and then once going it was fine but then as soon as you restarted it it was iffy wether it was going to start or not. Defiantly leaning towards the carb rebuild. Time to search for rebuild guides

Well went out today and tried to figure out whats causing my problem. It definantly seems like maybe a leak issue. When i fill up the tank i dont smell gas inside the hood like i would think i would if the tank had gone. But anytime i open the gas cap i defiantly dont hear any kind of pressure build up like i use to hear. Makes me wonder if there is a leak somewhere and if so whats the best way to chase down a leak somewhere. Also i have not messed with the carb yet because thinking it may be a fuel pressure issue.

Thanks for any suggestions or feedback guys

Check your one way valve on your fuel tank. It could be stuck open which wouldn't allow pressure to build in your fuel tank...which could cause issues with your ski not holding a prime.

Just a thought.

Would the 1 way valve be a small white disc looking thing? or would it be the one that looks like a water trap? with a turnable bottom piece to clear out the trapped water? Figure its the first one but just want to make sure.

The small flying saucer looking piece :) It will typically have an arrow pointing which way it will allow air flow.
