Yep, same one. I'm sure they could have done a better job, but I'm sure they were being pushed by Polaris to hit a certain production schedule (the first year they were way behind on delivery times), and also a certain price point. Honestly it was "good enough" construction for a single-purpose "race ski"... at the time. Just my opinion.

that's cool. sucks that it wasn't put together all that well. do you know where they actually built them?

Hull Reinforcement and scupper. Flipped it over and started fixing the stress cracks on the bottom. The ski looks better in pics than up close as far as deep grooves, scratches and spider cracks in the gel coat ,
-I drilled a small hole and counter sunk a stainless screw in the the EPIC scupper along with the 5200 to set it and prevent it from possibly popping off. I also cut the pvc pipe to match the hull profile at the back and slightly heated the pvc to get the bend and best seal on the back of the EPIC plate.

Put some 2-part foam inside the hood... they don't float!
Pool Noodle is going in for now. Along with Hood Straps. If I lose the hood. I may as write the ski off as a loss. Fingers crossed that never happens!

My PC crashed recently, pulling these photos from my phone, Hull has been painted 2 coats of Nimbus Grey from the Audi TT roadster and 2 coats of clear with a tattered star graphic laid in..I had a theme in mind for this build and didn't want to go back to the standard red like these were produced, my buddy was moving out to Cali and owed me a favor, so he painted it up. The ski is coming back to life!

I also fabbed up a ski stand for the garage and him to paint on, all in all it was about 30 bucks from lowes, the wheels were the most expensive and they are terrible, I changed them out already

This is not much a color popping theme, I like dark and drab , black and white are the other colors , I didn't even want the gloss clear at first... But it looks better with it I think now

While she was in refoam and paint, I had a pair of SBNs 44s and sent the man himself at Jetworks. Mr Art Blackjack'd them for me, I also had to source the elusive Polaris racing manifolds from a real good guy over on the hulk. I was tired of messing with the oem style kiehins, I tooled and fooled with the watcon octane jet kit and never did get it quite right..these carbs are awesome and Art assures me they won't need more than a hair of adjustment if any. I set the motor back in to check a few things
