View attachment 299908 So I'm new to here, but have been skiing for a few years. After this past season I decided that I needed to step my game up.... And here she is!

I'll be updating this as the build goes. I'm currently waiting on an order of parts to come in.

It's a 2016 hurricane c2. It's just white gelcoat unpainted, black/gold graphics kit and snow camo turf. Thus the name of "Snow White" for the project.

How charming.

This is the second hauler I've built. My first one can straight out of the hitch but it sat a little low for my liking with my 650sx on it this one is specifically designed to haul the hurricane. Still have to finished welding it up a little and grinding some of the welds before powder. But should be plenty sturdy for hauling a light weight aftermarket ski

Been a while since an update.
Motor is going to machine shop next week.

Hope to have the pump and midshaft all installed this coming week also. Just need a new pump seal.

Also weighed the hull and hood. Pretty happy with the numbers.

Hull - turfed ready to go with 4 motor mounts installed. Was 103lbs. Figure an even 100 minus the mounts and probably 87-90 fully stripped.

Hood was just under 9lbs. Which seemed heavy but it's an all glass layup and was told more than likely wet laid not vacuum bagged.

Well because I never put my hands on the package when delivered, visa signature won't cover it... Even thought it was "delivered" according to tracking. They denied it...

I have a claim with usps and I opened one with my credit union. But I don't have high expectations for either...

But if you put your hands on it you would have lifted if and walked it into your house. This counter claim argument makes no sense. I hope you can fight it.

Dropped off the engine, gonna bore it out to fit the .50mm pistons. And another thing I never see anybody mention is balancing, I come from a pretty strong auto background and balancing new components is pretty important. So there going to balance the Pistons and make sure the pins are the same weight also.

Should be picking that up Friday. And then I picked up 2 different sized shims, there both pretty thick since I kinda have a ball park of how my pump needs to go.

Also grabbed some new hardware for my pump and midshaft. I prefer a positive locking bolt along with a larger head area for the bolt. So these are regular head stainless bolts with lock and regular washers.

You can order a shim kit pretty cheap from mcmastercarr. Or hit up @Wizards Powersports and order a handful of random sized shims for the pump and motor.

There's a local dude here in sac (rancho Cordova to be exact) that carries a ton of ski stuff. Had some shims in stock.

I ended up sanding off the powder coat from the base of the pump to get it into a better alignment and it worked pretty damn good.

Only needed about .030-.040 on each side. Just gotta get the shaft into the middle now. I should have a alignment tool in my hands this weekend also. So then I can triple check it.

My only other concern is the fact of how big the midshaft is and how tight it fits into the hurricane. I may take a belt sander to a few spots to make it a little easier to fit.

On the Bob to get the couple cover on you have to slide it on with the engine. Makes lining the couplers up a huge pain, but it all fits.

That's annoying as hell. Lol.

I think I might make my own cover. So I could make it a two piece if need be. I guess it's just another one of those with hurricanes and bobs

Ski looks like it is coming together. Since no one else asked I have to. Whats the info on the car in a few of the pics?

Mk4 supra I've been building for a buddy. If people think I'm picky they should deal with these owners. Holy moly it can be intense. So that's why I'm a pretty detail oriented person. It's all about the small things and making sure things are "perfect"

Yeah those Mk4s really went up in value after FatF. Great looking 90s car with that bulletproof I6. I can understand why their owners can be so picky.
