Surfriding Props to all surfriders

A couple weekends ago my middle kid and I got the chance to try surf riding for the first time. And I emphasize the word "TRY" lol...! It was a very fun and humbling experience for sure. We thought we were descent riders... Haha! Although we can't wait for the chance to do it again.

So to all you surfriders. Huge props and respect from us. It takes a whole different level of skill to ride ocean surf, as compared to fresh water lakes etc... You guys are studs.

We had a great time watching 227, tightithrash and other Oside Crew riders. We saw some AWESOME riding last monday. Super smooth surf riding and some great flips, rolls, flat spin and silly high stabs. The dolphins were a bonus too. You just don't see that kind of stuff in Nevada.

We were the ones floundering on the white B1 and the blue couch. I think it was a blessing the RN took a crap and stayed on the trailer. Our lack of knowledge and respect for waves got us in enough trouble as it was LOL.

oh what that was you!? i was asking charlie what happened to you guys on friday, he said you guys didnt make it out. i was bummed! you guys shoulda rolled up and said hello... coulda hung out after, got lunch and what not.

that was the best day for surf. waaaaaaaaaaaaay better then saturday and sunday. the dolphins were just awesome.

hope you guys make it out again and if ya can, try and make the pismo trip not this weekend but the next. you'll have so much fun and makes everything so much easier when your truck is right on the beach. you'll get better everytime you ride the surf....but im sure the addiction has already began.....and im sure we'll see you again soon!

btw that is one sharp looking blaster. white out looks sweeeeeeeeeet!

Thanks Fellas! tightithrash we hit the road right after the ride. We wanted to stick around, but had a sweet azz road trip to do. Blew a trailer tire and shredded a fender in the Mohave desert. That was awesome! Hanging out would have been much better. We were parked next to 227 when you guys pulled in. SICK ski by the way. After we got home I was trying to figure out who was on the yellow rickter. I got a super short vid of you doing a flat spin, but we were just trying to stay out of you guys' way. Friggin sweet riding by you guys. And yah... We're addicted. It's only a 11 hour drive..... We are hoping to be back down in a few months to see the kid at Pendleton. Might have to bring the skis if you guys are still riding then.

Jay glad you guys could make it down and that you had a good time. We're stoked when visitors come to town. Believe it or not there's actually very few guys who ride surf regularly with us. Everyone is welcome.

Anybody not riding there definitely has some issues. If I could get more time and a few bonus bucks, I would be there a lot more. I loved the ride. Kinda sketchy being so far from the launch spot, but well worth the risk. You guys are blessed to have what you have. We had cold rain today and Heavenly and Mt Rose now have some snow. Ghayyyyyyy i say. Although I guess it made some rideable waves on it's way to us, so it's not all bad. I'm finally loading my vid from the ride. It's kinda weak sauce though, but whatever is usable, I'll share. You guys take it easy!
