I going to install two 44mm carbs on Kawi 750 motor (had just one carb before). can I split pulse line and run it to both carbs ??? Or I Really need to dreel a hole in other side and put fitting for second carb ?
If I split it , will signal be too weak ???

New Q ? Where to get second fitting ?
Last time I did it, I drill and epoxy fitting in. Somebody was saying drill and tap. What fitting to use then ?

If you have a shop vac, use it while you drill and when you pull the rag out. Tiny bits of debris will be all over the rag and could get down into the crank when you go to pull it out. Just as handy little trick we've used in the past.

i'm splitting a pulse line on my 750 x-2 for dual 44's works fine. stock superjets use only one pulse line for dual 38's so i don't see a problem.

Another trick, drill most of the way through, stop, clean out debris, pack your drill bit in grease and finish the hole. A lot of the debris will stick to the grease. The same works for your tap. A little tape on the inside of the hole while you tap it will catch the rest, then pull the tape to finish it off.

You'll have a stronger signal and crisper throttle response with two separate pulse lines.

Also it will be easier to tune with the two lines divided with two fuel pumps.

The Kawi brass pulse fitting nipples are only around $3.50 and the Yamaha ones are $1.80 each

Running a split line is just too :afro: IMO.

Thanks everybody. I drilled and installed second pulse fitting in my old 750. On my SXR got TBM reed spacers with pulse fitting. on this one (friends ski) was thinking may be there is other way.
Soo........... buck to original plan - drill and epoxy fitting in.

that's how i roll :afro: i got plenty of throttle response for what i use it for (back up surf ski) so i'm keeping my split pulse line and buying one of those new $2 taco bell value meals with the money i'm saving.

Thread revive....

I did a search and this is along the lines of the info I am looking for.

On my 62T case (I am building a motor) I noticed that the pulse fitting is mangled and looks like somebody super glued it back in place.

I want to replace it and eliminate any problems it would cause. Is there any threaded fittings made that I could try, or would I be better off with just the OEM replacement? What kind of epoxy do you guys use?

Get your barbed fitting from Mcmaster carr with 1/8" NPT threads and drill and tap the case. Glue is for wood working.

FYI. A lot of auto stores also sell the 1/8" NPT fittings as well. They usually littered in amonst the nuts and bolts section.
