I'm not sure I'm following you? What uses a washer? Is it something I need to purchase to put between the cradle and mount?

I mean I've seen many skis with no shims, not saying that's the correct way, but looking at it I just wasn't sure what held the engine in place on the mount.

You may or may not need shims between bed plate and motor mounts, you want to lay a straight edge across couplers on top bottom and both sidesmake sure it don't rock. You also want the gap between couples to b no less than I think 2mm
