FX-1 Pump conversion impeller choice

Hooker 9/15 or 10/16 stock oem sj 2008 , skat c75 ...

depends on what pump setup (mag or not bored nozzle ... ) and what you want to do flat or surf.

My experience is lighter hull can handle steeper prop.

i use a 11/17 hooker .

Im running a skat mag 9/15 cutback with protec exit and steering nozzle, blowsion freestyle cone, it feels good. Id like to try a 11/17 as the protec setup flows a lot more water than stock so it might need some back pressure..

Flash what size drive shaft are you running with the setback pump or what is the drive shaft out of?

A pre-08 SJ shaft. Since it's in a 1" setback pump, the end needs to be shortened to fit. The picture shows a stock un-modified shaft compared to a Skat-Trak 1" SJ shaft. The actual measurement is 21 3/8" from the end of the spline to the impeller stop face, not counting on the end. OAL = 24 5/8". Remember that this setup is for my ski, I am not sure if this would fit a retro-fit superjet pump/FX mod (I didn't go that route).

This Picture shows the modifications needed to fit the pump. I run a blaster double row bearing on the back end for added support (these set back pumps don't offer lot of bearing support, because of the close coupled bearings).
Dang, 15/18 with a mag? seems a lil steep, how does it perform?
Not steep at all, This thing rips! Instant throttle response. It isn't set up for flat water tricks & stuff...It's set up for surf/whitewater & creek rides (lots of fun).
