Super Jet Pump paint?

What are people using to paint their pumps? I saw a thread on it the other day and cannot find it anymore. I'm in the process of blueprinting my pump and want to seal it back up for the saltwater.

Maybe I've been under a rock for a few years...

But I don't think you need to paint your pump. If you leave it be, it's easier to clean & prep if you change props, install new wear ring, etc...
A good freshwater rinse will keep it happy!

I guess paint wouldn't hurt.....but why?

spray paint works fine? it doesnt really get abused so it shouldnt chip or anything

i did mine black with engine enamel and it holds up awsome. frest water use though

Use zinc-chromate primer for corrosion protection. You may have to go to an aircraft supply to find it. Use thread sealant or marine grease between the wear ring and stator and they will always come apart easy.
