Should I be alarmed if I'm needing to shim my back bolts almost 1/4 of an inch? Should I try shimming my front bolts at all?

1/4" ain't bad if any shimming is necessary its usually the rear bolts, u using drive shaft alignment tool ?

Not yet. Figured Id give it one last college effort before waiting for that part to come. It just kills me to look at this ski and not work on it. Doesn't help that it's in my living room and I see it every day

1/4" is normal for a lot of a/m hulls. Never heard of anyone shimming the front bolts.

I haven't either except for one guy on here and have always read don't shim the fronts. It's good up and down but can't seem to get left to right figured out.

Correct. You need some way of holding the driveshaft center then check you pump/shoe figment with a light.

Ok I got the CF tool in the mail yesterday but have a question that may be dumb but oh well. Do I install the tool to the bulkhead and put the sleeve inside the open hole then install the pump or install the tool to the bulkhead then the pump and use the sleeve to see if my pump is aligned?

Plate to bulkhead, slide pump in, install sleave all the way in push pump up to shoe not alot of pressure check make sure no gap between Seal and shoe, best if ski is upside down
