pump seal

My jet pump seal for my 122 pump is blown. I'm talking about the very large o-ring type seal that goes around the housing.

I cannot find a replacement anywhere online. Called parker yamaha, no luck. Anybody know where to get one?

I have tried every shop nobody has any. I ordered one on the oem parts finder at riva racing, and today I got a paypal refund so I can only assume they couldnt get one

Yup, riva said that they checked other dealers in the country and nobody has them, and neither doesn jetmaniac. Am I SOL?

That sucks man only bad thing about haveing something rare, may just have to use silicone

Ive heard of guys doing it, b better with 3m 5200

If I use 5200, would I be able to remove it if I need to take the pump out?

Sure b a lil tougher to, either that or find you a small sheet of thick rubber and cut u a seal out of that

Well my seal now just leaks a little bit, its not ripped up or anything. So I was thinking of just putting the old seal on, putting sealant around the seal and the pump shoe, (not running no seal w/just 5200). Would that work good?

Yes put silicone on the face of seal and push it tight up against shoe and bolt it down you shouldnt have any issues

I would take a 144 seal, cut it, trim back the rubber, put a tack weld on the wire and put a dab of permatex gasket maker on it.

why not just use 5200 though?

sorry, yes 5200 would be fine if your seal isn't destroyed. For some reason I thought it was beyond a useable state.
