I'm about to install the pump shoe in my Footrocket and I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. My JD shoe had to be ground quite a bit to fit in the cavity, but I have it in there now. I'm wondering about the bonding process. You apply the adhesive to the bonding surface of the shoe, as well as all the way around the ring, set it in place, install and align the pump and then screw down the shoe. Is that right?
Also, I have a 148 skat pump but the shoe is only 144. Should I grind the shoe to 148 to match the pump? Is it worth it or would the performance difference be negligible?
Thanks.
