Pump Shoe Question

I am swapping my 144 pump for a 155, as well as the shoe.

I noticed that my 144 is sticking out past the bottom of the hull.

When I install my 155 shoe should I grind it flush with the hull, or does it not matter?

It will load the pump better the way it is, it's will dig that's for sure.

I let it hang. Then the intake grate hangs lower and grabs more water....... and sand.

Grinding off these edges does not change the angle of the intake grate.

My Rokr was the same way, it worked fine
