Anyone tried to repair a oem pump shoe?

Was looking at mine last night and noticed it was cracked and off set now. Was thinking about dremeling the two surfaces so it lines up and using some epoxy and glass chop to stuff in the gap then sand and smooth.

May buy a new one as a back up.

I just repaired mine on my freak. Didn't even realize it was broken until a friend pointed it out while we were shortening it.

I didnt want to replace it due to my lack of time, so I filled it with slightly-thickened epoxy. There are hollow voids inside the curved portion of the shoe. Mine was cracked next to the intake grate insert. I filled that area as well and made a carbon fiber plate that I bonded across the mounting surface. I think it will hold up fine.

If I can find pics I will post them, or take some new ones...

Ive repaired broken off corner ears of good size on the plastic ones with thickened epoxy resin also with good luck. Then Grind/sand smooth. Dont forget to prep the hull and plastic, so it bonds well. You dont want it breaking off and going though your impeller.
The alum shoe really is the way to go for the LONG run..
