Freestyle Pump upgrade advice

I am currently running a 144 solas mag with large hub 15/20 skat, (865 xscream, twin 48s, PFP, total loss etc etc) in my "obsession hulled freestyle ski"

I am looking to get a larger pump, to run with this combo - what are your thoughts, (potential to get larger motor next)

was thinking 148 mag, but am open to advice on alternatives and/ or prop

148 with a 10-16/11-17 prop should work out nice

The ski clinic has a similar setup pushing a 150. I would think about an oem 155.

Is there an advantage of a 155mag over a 148 mag with the SS865 set up

While the price advantage is definitely there, if the difference between an OEM 155 and a mag 155 is similar to the difference in OEM 144 vs mag 144, it would be pissing money into the wind to buy an OEM setup. No?

Assuming price isn't a worry, what would be a suggested set up to

A. Improve what I have with the 865 set up
B. Future proof for a bigger motor ?

I suspect that you have too much load, try a flatter prop, you will probably gain a lot of thrust. Dont get a larger pump unless your hull already has a 155 inlet.

Keith I'm fitting a 148 Mag with 13/19 5mm cut back thin blade next week on my xs1000 if you want to try that (could pull the pump and try it in yours at the lake if you like?). Prop is the spec Rick suggested at X Scream.
