Use a piece of masking tape either along the top or bottom of where you want to put the number's, that will be a reference line to be sure your number's are straight then remove the tape when they are all on waaalllllaaaaa.

There are a few good sites that have instructions. For "sticker juice" I use a spray bottle w/distilled and a few drops of hand dishwasher soap (like Joy) works great.

I have used windex without a problem. Just spray enough on so you can move around easily just in case you screw up and wait to dry.

Yea what he said ^^ mine are 2 inch with a 2-1/4 inch white back ground that is offset as a shadow. and when you have the vinal cut at a shop they put it on that backing paper. Then just peal and stick one side then work it with your drivers license to the other side. That way they are stuck good and ready to go. You can't see both sides at the same time so don't worry about it too much. Plus they are reversed on the other side so they look different.
Remember if you use any kind of spray make sure that you don't go riding right after. Wait a day because the water/soap under the letters will let a quick sub remove them for you.

you knwo, thats what we used to think as well......
here pretty much all of us ran for YEARS with no #'s, no stickers..nothing.
then we go to the beach one day and slutty is actually running some #'s...smaller, like 2.5" or something....the dude freaking measured them!
the local beach cop here stopped us once as well...but seemed he just wanted to BS and chew terbacca
