yeah, i know. but its much nicer to have a set of 62t's for me if i need them. shes happy with her 6m6' cases and protec pipe. now she'll be getting 61x's and a brand new b pipe. this way, we both win.

its all about compromise.... and me- hoarding the 62t cases!

I think on a stock 701 cylinder you wouldn't see the difference (Group K claims their 650 can hang with the 701). But you might as well always go with X cases, they can be found dirt cheap and a 61X engine is worth more than a 6M6 if you ever decide to sell it.

Bigger reeds is always better, even if they're not much different.

isnt it something about carbon reeds heat up to much on 61x and are good for about 30.mins. ive never changed out my stock ones but going to run the boysen power reeds in my blaster this year.

I ran Carbon techs for the past 12 years and love them. I could get a couple years of hard riding on them before they started to wear out and not seal so well.
I going to V-force now on my 62T cases or it would be carbon techs on the stock reed blocks. I've heard good things about the Boyeson set-up for the 62T also. A guy on ebay had a mint set of V-force II for sale and i asked him why he was selling them with only a couple hours on them. He said he couldnt tell a difference between them and the Boyeson block/reed for the 62T.
