Freestyle Q about steering nozzle width

So.. I tried the search function to no avail, or yeah i got some info but nothing really what would point out the differences i am looking to find.

The q is what would be an optimal size exit venturi?
Obviously it would be according to all differentiating equations on engine pump combo..
Some pointers would be nice anyhow.

I am on the process of finding it out by myself but i have to get my ski dialed in correctly before i can post anything relevant..

At the mo, i have a venturi with 95mm width (from a couch)
And it feels really too big for my setup..
I have at hand a 93mm, 91mm and a stock 87mm

I'll post up some when i've gotten around on testing them.

Btw my setup is xfs, mag 144 with 14/19
Riva 62t pfp TL novi 48's

I'm guessing your measuring the steering nozzle. I highly doubt your pump nozzle is 90mm+. Your pump nozzle is probably 82-85mm. A steering nozzle from a couch could be low 90's but not the pump nozzle. GP,raider, and superjets with 144 pumps are 87.5mm steering.

I can only speak from all out race setups but with 144 mag pumps you hardly ever see over a 83-84mm and on my triple pipe ski with a 158-160mm mag its 84-86 Both skis steering is around 90.

Spinning the prop feels like the impeller isn't hooking up immediately instead it spins then grabs if it's to loaded in will feel non responsive and have weak overall thrust

So just got back from the shed..
The exit nozzle (blowsion one) had a width of 96mm... Freakin huge!
Got me wondering If it was missing some sort of restrictor ring from it..?
No Wonder my ski felt awful..
Gonna be on the h2o tomorrow to test with a stock width one, will post up afterwards

So stock size exit nozzle and stock size turn nozzle made the xfs feel alive again! Thank god!

On an another note, anybody use them 701 motor mounts?
They feel really stiff and i was wondering would they cause the carbs to flood on low rpms?

Take your air filter off and see I'd gas is dribbling into your carb if it is the needle and seat are sticking
