Q8 Flip Practice

damn, you rotated fast on that. I was trying to do the "wheelie" thing before the wake, video too zoomed in to see, but you can hear it on some of them.

Ya its pretty quick when the timings right. I don't use trim and my plate is cut about an inch past the end of the hull. I had to come in pretty hot with the smaller engine to get the height needed for the rotation.

Try to throw your head straight back and stay tucked too, it seems like your head is always to the side and some of your rotation is turning into a twist too. The staying tucked thing is what did it for me, after that it all just naturally fell in to place.

i thought the opposite, the standing up and arching the back pushes the tray down and gets me some leverage to pull the bars. Atleast from the two videos I felt alot better this year standing up. However, I did notice that on some of them my head is going to the side, like you said.

If you watch my videos, all of last year and the beginning of this year I was standing straight up, arching my back and throwing my head back and I was getting close, but this year I really focused on staying tucked and you can see my rotation is much faster now. I'm landing on the tail every time I flip my Footrocket now and last year I nosed them all in. I'm starting to try no trim flips now since I'm rotating much faster and I want to get more height.

Sorry I miss understood you, I thought by tucked you meant like staying in a squatted position which is more along the lines of what I was doing last year. I will certainly work on getting over the pole and pulling harder. Thanks for the help.

Glad to help bud, it took me a lot of work to get it down and I was thankful for all the advice I got. I really think if you throw your head straight back you'd have it, I just watched your vids again and your head is always to the side, even in your avatar it is. If you throw your head straight back I think you'll naturally pull the bars to your chest too. You'll get it man, you're close!

Thanks again, its a lot to put together and perfect all at once.

I will be getting a little help with a power upgrade this weekend too.... :)

Btw with the new motor, I went plate to plate on my second attempt on random boat wake, but I didn't gas it soon enough and tipped over to the right. Haven't gotten to go back out since then though.

Looking good man. The only thing I see is you were way late hitting your setup wake. Gas it earlier than you think you should. And you will POP.
