Question about buying and selling ski's

They said the only thing that isn't stock is the ride plate and intake. I have it listed for 1600 and I have two guys that are blowing up my email. They haven't seen pics though so their interest might change. We'll see. Gotta drive 2 hours to go get it tomorrow.

Aytee, I'd love to make you a deal on it but I'm only buying it to help pay off some business equipment so I have to pull as much cash from it as possible... I wish I could give it to ya for 1200. Sorry man

I wasn't too worried about the plastics, mostly that vomit yellow paint. I guess its just not my style. I have that black trim paint used for cars that I was thinking of using if I painted the ski.

well after picking it up now i want to keep it and paint it lol. Lets see if i can convince my wife to let me have another project ;) Its listed for sale so i guess if i get what im asking ill sell, but otherwise i might have to hold on to this puppy.

Ok, so its bone stock except for the ride plate and intake grate. had to prime the carb to get it to start but no big deal there. The paint looks much worse in person and there is a small crack in the bottom of the hull under the engine compartment but it doesn't go all the way through. All in all I think its a decent ski and could be easily brought back to life. The engine runs good and seems pretty straight. Along with that ski I got a super clean js550 that just had an engine rebuild bored .02 over, an A/M waterbox, but stock other than that. For both skis I paid 1100 total :) It was listed 4 hours away in a town that has virtually zero jet skiing. Their only lake only allows 15 boats on it at a time. Needless to say they didn't have much of a market. I asked them to meet me halfway and I offered them their full asking price. they jumped on it and I got the feeling they felt like they got the better end of the deal lol. this is the ad for proof. They haven't pulled it yet. http://westslope.craigslist.org/boa/4584417749.html

oh I'm not saying compression is bad. I've just been cheap and havent invested in a good compression tester lol. so i have yet to test it. I know its risky but i guess i like to live on the edge.
