Other question about doing leakdown test on my xl 800

The exhaust bolts down through 2 of the front head bolts.. The manual unless I'm mis reading says to tourque down all 10 of 12 headbolts leaving the 2 front ones out till the exaust goes on..I would normally just torque all at once when the exhaust goes on..But since I want to do a leak test on bench, what do I do,just put 10 bolts in leaving out the front 2 or do all 12 and take the front 2 out to put the exhaust on..it's a 3 part metal gasket and I don't want to ruin it..

Any thoughts
thanks

the 2 on the front are for an exhaust bracket.

I'd go ahead and fully assemble it and do your leak down.

then put it in the ski and start your final assembly...if the bracket ends up being in the way - take it off and reinstall as necessary.
