wear shoes you hippies!

haha! love it! lol
shoes are a must! wrestling shoes are the best(for me). they are light, don't hold much water at all, offer just enough support and traction, and swimming in them is easy. i don't see how people ride in chuck t's or skate shoes... too bulky.

Where do you ride around atlanta? Im at georgia tech but i ride closer to home.

Im just gonna order the blowsion kit unless i can find something else before tomorrow. Its $33 for 8 bolts and inserts shipped with no epoxy but i think i have epoxy at home. Id love to find the same setup as the blowsion kit for a lower price but nothing seems to come in stainless...

i live just a few miles from GT but we ride at lanier and probably gunna check out toona some this year. i haven't ridden at jackson in years but i wouldn't step foot in that lake without shoes!!! lol
as far as the hardware goes, check your local ACE, some have a good selection of stainless. the one up here in tucker has a HUGE selection of stainless, more than any other hardware store i've ever been in. you just might get lucky.

I guess it wont hurt to wait. If i get the blowsion style installing them wont be something i have to plan out much. Our end of jackson isnt so bad, we are on one of the two clean rivers that run into it but i definitely know what you mean. When i bought my 550 a few summers ago it was from a guy on lanier and he let me test ride it there, its definitely clearer and cleaner water. I hate touching the bottom of the lake anyways. Creeps me out when you cant see whats down there...

My straps shipped out today so ill have them in a few days.

Actually now that i think about it they just finished building a new Ace Hardware like 3 minutes from my house so hopefully i can get it there!

You're the first guy I've ever heard say that. I even roll my eyes when girls say it. It's one thing if there is tons of vegetation but mud, sand, sticks, and rocks...who cares.

The sand and rocks dont bother me but not seeing the bottom does. I walk around barefoot all the time outside of the water and any time i am at the ocean too.
I didnt mind walking in the water at lanier at all and it was covered in rocks but it was more sand then mud. The bottom of the cove i live in is pure mud and silt and you sink straight in.

chuck's to bulky.... its quite the opposite. i thought it would be cool to wear chucks but i soon found different shoes because after a hard day of riding i would have a bruises where all the metal eyes are. nike high tops for me now.

i ment the skate shoes . . . chucks offer no protection and i dont care for a shoe with a thick sole, again too bulky.
