Other Question on RRP Manifold and Repairs

Looking for a little information and advice...

I purchased a RRP pipe kit from a member on the X. The kit was sold with a new manifold, pipe and waterbox had light use from a dyno test.

When I received the parts and looked at the manifold I was disappointed. However, I haven't seen a RRP manifold in person before, only a couple PFP manifolds, and never payed close attention to the PFP ones.

I was wondering if anyone could help...

• Is this a RRP manifold? I thought they had a sleeve welded in them to match the carbon chamber?
• Is the bottom water outlet supposed to be a different size than the top?
• It looks like some one took a flap disc to this manifold and would need to be decked before installed. I cant believe thats how RRP ships them... is this really new?!?
• There are flaws in the casting, like air bubbles. Near a bolt hole and gasket sealing surface... I'm nervous to bolt that down and crack it. Also wondering if they are any where else internally... Once I take the dremel to it and match it up worried I'll find more.

I contacted the seller and he said he was unaware of the issues and wants to make it right. He has been honest and helpful. He offered a refund or to help see if RPP would exchange the manifold. I doubt RRP will exchange it so I'm leaning towards the fix or return route.

I'd love to keep the pipe, it was a good deal but not sure if I want to fix this manifold up or just get out of the deal all together.

The bottom is 1/4 pipe and the top is 1/8 pipe. My manifold did not have those casting flaws...

Mine also has a reducing ring, that looks like a pfp manifold.

Looks like the sleeve is missing, that manifold would work with a tnt or pf chamber like that... Yes the water inlets are different sizes, bottom is bigger them the top .. That's normal.. Those casting holes could be welded and surfaced.. Then machine a sleeve and press it into outlet opening. I see your dilemma though

Ive bought a PFP when they were launched to the public, i think i was on the first or second batch. I got this manifold, i really dont know how you can send this out to a customer.
Mark replaced it, but since im overseas i had to pay extra import tax on the 2. manifold and i can't remember if i got covered for shipping the bad mainfold back. Anyway i think you should try and see if RRP would replace it, otherwise grind the cast holes down, weld them of and the the manifold machined down.

Talk to the dealer original seller purchased from.
That manifold does not look like a RRP part, I have purchased many many pipes in the past with no issues. No sleeve in the manifold is a dead give away it's not RRP..

If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure this is the pipe Tim at tnt sold claiming it had a new rrp mani right?

That's not a RRP manifold IMO, if it was I doubt it was originally sold over the retail counter. Was that poor casting disclosed to you during the sale? The machinist should be fired, lol!

That manifold certainly appears to be for one of Tim's new pipes. PFP manifolds don't have a taper on the I.D. of the outlet like that. You will have to match that taper on the O.D. of any insert you plan to use and the insert will have to be welded in.

That looks like a blemish piece that was proply given to tim to use. That looks like a mine field nick.

Have a few issues here.
That manifold shouldn't have ever left my shop. Not sure how we did that. But my bad.
But I sold this pipe for 800 bucks as good used system with new Tnt manifold.
I get text yesterday from guy wanting me to replace the manifold and make him a sleeve.
The bottom line is the pipe with new RRP manifold and the pipe in that condition is worth 1200 bucks
I sold it for 800 so if you felt you needed everything possible you could have color made for 100-150 bucks and you still got screamin deal on the pipe

As for taking Dremel to inside.
What would you rather have a casting that doesn't line up to your exhaust ports or a port profile machined into manifold and if you want a perfect match you have a blend the machine line out into manifold.
This way I did the work of bolting it onto a Cyl and scribing you a line

I made if really clear.
Send me the manifold and I will replace the casting flaw.
Or send back tha whole pipe and I will refund 835.00

Yes, you sent the wrong manifold. You sent me a photo when I purchased it from you with a different manifold, and sent me a different one, no big deal.
Yes, you listed it for $800 with a NEW MANIFOLD, was not listed as a TNT manifold, I would ONLY assume its the correct manifold to go with the pipe you listed. You should have noted it was NOT an RRP manifold.
Yes, I asked to you make this right, since YOU are the one in the wrong, whats with people thinking its okay to screw someone over, or justify problems with the good deal. This problem is making this deal a nightmare.

Your offer for a refund was nice, but doesn't cut it.

I made you an offer to swap the manifolds AND I offered you $50 to make the sleeve and send this guy what I should have received in the first place. You declined saying I should run it as it.
You countered only willing to swap the manifolds out.
I've accepted your offer to swap the manifolds with out the sleeve with the buyer, and I will make it right with him to cover the cost for the sleeve. But please don't let it take you a month to ship it to him.

Tim, what are you doing? Can you mail out the manifold you should have mailed me in the first place? You said you were going to a few hours back, but yet are continuing to be a pain in my as$

I have no dog in this fight but if Tim promised you a new manifold, and you were sent a new damaged manifold that you were not supposed to get, then I think you are entitled to what you were promised, no mater what the price.

The more I hear about Tim, the less I want to actually jump on the bandwagon and use his products. I have a buddy who will rename nameless that paid full price for a V2 and patiently waited over 2 months longer than promised for his pipe. When he finally gets his new pipe it has NO HARDWARE!!!! No clamps, no couplers, no spray bar, no fittings for the manifold. He is basically told its Blowsions problem because Tim decided that long after he took this guys money he was going to let Blowsion distribute.

He had to source his own hardware at his own expense and turns out the instructions Tim provided were wrong.

If you can't do something right, don't do it at all. I understand Tim has many other irons in the fire as his main income, but I sure don't want to be a neglected second or third source of income that doesn't matter and doesn't get taken care of.
