I don't want this to become a bash Tim thread, in his latest text to me he's okayed swapping the manifold. The OP is going to mail the bad one over to Tim, and then Tim will mail him a usable one.
TNT is my only income.I have no dog in this fight but if Tim promised you a new manifold, and you were sent a new damaged manifold that you were not supposed to get, then I think you are entitled to what you were promised, no mater what the price.
The more I hear about Tim, the less I want to actually jump on the bandwagon and use his products. I have a buddy who will rename nameless that paid full price for a V2 and patiently waited over 2 months longer than promised for his pipe. When he finally gets his new pipe it has NO HARDWARE!!!! No clamps, no couplers, no spray bar, no fittings for the manifold. He is basically told its Blowsions problem because Tim decided that long after he took this guys money he was going to let Blowsion distribute.
He had to source his own hardware at his own expense and turns out the instructions Tim provided were wrong.
If you can't do something right, don't do it at all. I understand Tim has many other irons in the fire as his main income, but I sure don't want to be a neglected second or third source of income that doesn't matter and doesn't get taken care of.

TNT is my only income.
But there is just one of me. And I got 10 weeks behind on work.
And it's not because of other incomes. It's because tooling issues working on the v3 pipe.
That put me months behind and I do what I can to make uptime.
But the v2 can only build one per day.
I have never offrerd hardware kits and that's been mentioned many times. I have never sold a pipe with all the hardware because most the people source it cheaper or same price I can.
Some want different. Colored.
All I can offer the guy is what I did the first time I saw the picture of a blem manifold sent.
Return manifold and I send a new one. Or I will refund 850 on a 800 sale.
If you have ever designed and manufactured anything you would quickly learn there are to many variables that can turn everything upside down instantly.
And when you invest the amount of money I did into tooling you to would focus your energy on recovering that money invested.
There not a lot of sales in watercraft pipes to setup a true assembly line and hire handful of welders because they be out of work in a couple months.
Then there my side of the story.
A customer who waited two extra months for his pipe had a lot of extra time to source all his hardware as anyone who paid in advance for one new they didn't come with hardware.
We only sell what we make.
We are not a retail store where you can come in and buy parts for your bike, sled or Jetski.
The only service we offer is complete builds and the parts we make.
If you want a kit you have to buy it from a dealer. That's why we have dealers
Wow… I didn’t mean to light a fire! I was only looking for some information and opinions on my manifold because I don’t have enough experience with them.
Many people chimed in, educated me, and helped me make a better decision. Thank you guys.
Now after seeing the thread progress… reading others thoughts and all the back and forth, I feel obligated to share the whole story so no one get the wrong opinion here. You should at least form your opinion from facts. I don’t care to debate anything but wanted to share what I know.
There are two separate issues (blemished manifold and not RRP manifold) and two different purchases (tnt to stingrayguy and stingrayguy to 2lick) being discussed.
I can only comment on my purchase and issue.
Condensed version… stingrayguy is a “standup” dude, trustworthy seller, and committed himself to making sure the deal he agreed to with me was followed thru on. He spent both his own time and money to make it right. Stingrayguy is out $100 and I’m out $15. I am shipping out the bad manifold in the AM and I am promised a new TNT manifold (not RRP) when Tim returns from vacation in a week. It won’t be ready for WaveDaze.
Long version… This is the ad I agreed to buy my pipe from:
Price was $1050, I looked up info and pictures online to find the missing parts and price out as if bought new (yes I’m a complete nut)… All in $1215, out of pocket $1125… I decided it was worth it to me.
I sent stingrayguy $1050. I was out of town for two weeks came home on a Friday opened the box saw the manifold was upset, left town for Easter weekend and decided to deal with it Monday.
Monday night I wasn’t sure what to do. I know I’m picky but damn I just didn’t like this deal and that not what I agreed to buy.
Monday night 6:06pm I texted stingrayguy, he responded within seconds…
After a few minutes of back and forth he jumped right in and offered me a full refund, but also he agreed to let me sleep on it and research.
On Tuesday I came to the X to post some photos and learn about the manifold and find out if I was making a stink for no good reason. This post was made seeking information, not calling anyone out or to complain. I used no names.
By the end of the day I knew I would only be happy with one of two outcomes. A new RRP manifold or a full refund.
On Tuesday stingrayguy found out that when he bought the kit from TNT, TNT did not ship him the manifold he sent stingrayguy pictures of via txt. He swapped manifolds. FYI, here is the add stingrayguy bought it from… I think most of us would assume it included a RRP manifold. Like it doesn’t say RRP waterbox, but I got a RRP waterbox not a TNT one.
At no point in time did I reach out to TNT myself. That wasn’t my business. This was all between stingrayguy and TNT as it should have been it was there deal. Rather than losing a good deal on a pipe and take a refund, I decided to let stingray guy see if he could get things straight with TNT. Otherwise I was going to take a refund from stingrayguy.
After a bunch of back and forth TNT offered advice on how to fix my manifold and said he would warranty it for me. Thanks, but no thanks… I said no. TNT then offered to send me a replacement if I ship mine back to him on my own dime. A TNT manifold is different than a RRP (collar pressed in and no taper inside). I asked for TNT to make a RRP style manifold for me. He said no.
In the end I told stingrayguy I’ll accept TNTs replacement new TNT manifold if I could also be refund $100 for the cost of making a collar and welding it in the manifold. I made up the number but feel its fair, I have no skills or clue.
Stingrayguy wrote me a check for $100 and put it in the mail. Again apologizing for the trouble.
I boxed up my bad manifold and have it addressed to TNT. I’ll ship it in the AM. That will cost me $15
TNT is going on vacation for 5 days, he said when he returns he will send me a good new TNT manifold. Fingers crossed!
Won’t have my ski ready for WaveDaze.
Summary and lessons learned… all of this could have been avoided with an accurate for sale thread
Lots of pictures help too!
