Other Quick carb cleaning question

I have my carb all taken apart to soak. Do I need to take out the butterflies?
Also - any tips for getting the stripped butterfly screws out of the choke and throttle butterfly plates?

NO you should not need to remove the Butterflies, the screws that hold them in are Stamped on the bottom so they will not come out during normal operation of the Ski. if the carbs are leaking out of the Seals on the throtle shaft the removing the shaft to replace the seals is warranted..

open it up and spray out everything with carb cleaner, clean the jets out and make sure you know how far they are turned out
