Quick Go pro memory card question

So I went super cheap with my memory card and the footage is choppy. I want to get one that will record in all settings but I don't want to break the bank to do it. I'd like to stay under 50 bucks if possible. Any recommendations?

Awesome, thanks guys.

Tyrant, I have no idea what I have but I think it was less than 15 bucks lol. I honestly didnt know I needed a better card. I just thought you paid for extra storage space.

I am not sure of the class of my card. I do believe that is something I looked up before I bought the card, although the card does not say on it what it is.

Anyway, I record 960 / 48 / w* per the settings on my phone. I can stream smooth playback to my phone. However, I move the files to my computer and it is choppy and unwatchable.

My point is, make sure the playback issues are not caused by the device you are using to playback.

I was actually wondering about that as well. I have a MacBook pro. Do I need to download a different software to view it or is the player on a mac sufficient?

Not sure. I use vlc media player and my computer won't play anything over 720p. Even 720p starts to chop at about 20 seconds in. I find it very frustrating that the 3-black does not support 720/30.

I think we tried to watch the videos on my wife's Mac book pro the other night and it was choppy. Hers is a few years old. Watched the same video last night on my iphone via streaming and It was perfectly smooth.

Does the gopro come with a cable to play directly to the tv? If you can't stream to your phone, try playing it to the tv from the gopro itself.

I know windows media player will not play the mp4 format so there are software issues. 960/1080 is a hardware problem for me.

GoPro.com has some top quality cards for decent prices. I got my last 60gb class 10 for 80 bucks.
