Quick pump assembly question

Hodge-podging a pump together this morning for the old SN. When I am slapping the impeller housing, stator section, and reduction nozzle together do I run any type of sealant (silicone) on the mating surfaces? Does the rubber doodad that goes on the face of the impeller housing get siliconed to the pump?

I've quit using silicone on pumps because of upon removal the clean up and more difficulty splitting the pump apart. I've been using a heavy coat of anti seize and have enjoyed how easy it is to split the pump which has a tight joint design in itself to seal especially the impeller housing. I was amazed the anti seize didn't even wash out of the tight joint area. I re-grease splines regularly (untrue driveshaft issue) so I'm looking for the easier faster route. The 155 skat with custom impeller housing has an almost seamless joint that's pretty dang good but expensive.
