Super Jet Quick question need help asap

So I am starting my 760 in my octane for the first time. I put fuel in one carb and in the cylinder it was associated with. So the other cylinder was dry. It wanted to start and sputter, but let ot a huge back fire. Is this normal for starting a new motor? I have an epic ignition and MSD coil. Everything is new including all the electronics wiring is there anyway I got a wire turned around that would cause this? I am using 62t electronics. Thanks

Check all of your electrical connections, I had a similar problem with my epic last year on first start up. found a poor connection in the e-box , secured it and it started like a charm ever since.

What I ended up doing was putting my ground to a bolt on the flywheel cover, so that might be the issue so I'm going to move it to the starter casing and grind it down so I have a better ground.

Well if you put the front wire onto the back cylinder and back on the front. Then your timing will be way off. It's hard to do with stock wires because of length but. Some aftermarket wires are the same lenght so it can be easy to do. Or it they touch sometime it can cause the spark to jump from ome wire to another.

No, no, no.

There's no "front" or "rear" wire. 62T electronics only have 1 ignition coil, so both plugs always spark at the same time, and they spark twice per rev.

what about the plug wires touching? this does matter?

Not sure what you mean...touching what? You definitely want at least one plug wire grounded at all times. Don't crank with both plug wires disconnected. If you need to do that to check compression or something, hold down the stop button while cranking, it disables the spark. I believe you can damage the coil otherwise.
