hello guys,

I noticed a hole in the firewall that is around 1.5" or so located underneath electrical box but towards the exhaust side of the firewall that seems to have foam right behind it, so I am guessing that it's there for foaming/defoaming purposes. should this hole be plugged, glassed over, turfed over, or it needs to be left alone (open)??????????

by the way, I have 1 2004 superjet.

thanks in advanced.

You should have two one on each side. Yes your are correct that was for foaming purposes.

Glass them up. It will help keep you foam from being water logged

My new '08 has the sticky circles stuck on them at the moment, I can't get in there to glass right now (engine, e-box., would some marine grade silicone work well. I plan on glassing them this winter when the engines out.

thanks for the help guys,

since it would be hella tough to glass them while the engine and electrics box in, I decided to thick peace of rubber (looks almost like a door stopper) and epoxied in these holes (they fit perfectly) and I guess that should keep the water away until the season is done.

thanks again guys.
