I wouldn't do that. Use an OEM spring instead. The bracket has a spring pretensioner built in. I just installed the exact same bracket with an oem spring and the pole is almost too weight-less. You need to cut an inch off the spring. Have a look at my build for some pics!
We have 3 on skis in the garage, I agree best bracket in its class, puts the pole pivot forward too...
The Blowsion spring wont fit, wont fit the RRP either, just put one on a mates ski & had to turn the parts bin out to find a stocky, that needed cutting back too.
I am running this exact combo and I really like it. This is the set up if you like a loose pole. The R&D bracket is the only bracket available that is lowered, has a forward pivot point and can use the stock pole lock. Also the bracket can be disassembled so it’s a piece of cake to install the pole spring, no torqueing any thing. When used with the Blowsion pole spring you will need to modify (cut approx 1” off of the bottom wire on the spring and don’t run the tensioner on the bracket). I drilled a hole in the bracket base for the bottom of the spring (The one I cut down) to fit into. The tension is still super strong as my pole would actually rise to the “up” position on its own. After a few weeks it will soften some but your pole will still be completely neutral.
