R&D Pipe identification and setup help

I need to apologize for my misinformation. I followed up with the guy who built the engine and modded the pipe to fit my boat. It is a R&D Superjet pipe and has had the stinger cut and clocked to fit for my application.

Anyways, the way it is setup in my last drawing has worked wonderfully. I cut a bunch of water out of the exhaust at the injection point closest to the head and a bit at the stinger with the valves as well. It had a lot more power out of the hole, so much so that it would overspin/cavitate the prop and I had to feather the throttle a bit to get the boat going from a stop. Keep in mind the boat is probably close to 1000 lbs with two big people in it. Once I get the pipe and the carbs dialed in, I'll address that part.

Thanks for all the help and happy ripping!

I have an R and D head pipe similiar to yours, and I'm about 90% sure that this valve and line are not doing anything for you. On mine the little orifice that lets water into the exhaust in the head pipe was open to the water jacket, so it is just water from the water jacket injecting into the pipe, the line going into that area is redundant.

If I were you I wouldn't change it unless you have an opportunity to take those fittings off and look at what is going on in there to be 100% sure, but if you have it apart at some point I would take a look.
