(Mods are in sig 33cc domes)

I want to do a 50/50 mix this year, but unsure which fuel to buy. Looking at VP website under watercraft they list:
C12 leaded 108 octane
Motorsports 109E unleaded 99octane
VP100 which is unleaded 96.

Also I read people are using VP-110 leaded 107 octane.

So my question is which one is best to be mixed with premium pump gas to get me around 100 octane mix?

I do have station that sells turbo blue pump gas locally, but i have trip planed this summer that I will need to bring fuel with me. With that being said if i buy turbo blue out of the pump for local rides should I run leaded or unleaded race fuel?

Thanks

I run 200psi in my b-1, 62t/61x heavily ported BB with every mod but total loss , I use vp110 and mix 50/50 with 93 octane unleaded ... I dont know what it works out to be but I have no detonation issues . never race it , surf only , FWIW Works for me ! for peace of mind contact a builder .

is money an issue? cause i think the vp stuff is really expensive.i go to this local airport and they have 100av gas for 4.98 a gallon. its basically 100 octane leaded fuel.leaded is better for engine.worse for nature.i got a 62t/61x ported with 210 psi.i dont mix 50/50.

Well ofcourse, any time you can save is best. I was thinking I would use the Turbo blue at the local station, but i will need to buy a barrel to take with me on vacation, so I dont have to fill 6 cans. lol. Thats where the VP comes in.

I do have a local small airport and I know several people that fly there. So you just run straight 100av gas no mixing with pump?

I've run straight avgas in the past as well. Worked well IMO but it was such a pain to get it. The guys were cool but you had to find someone to pump it and then listen to them talk. I just want to pay, pump, and leave not spend 30 minutes every other week to get gas.

i dont think you can just run aviation fuel in anything. at least, not safely. i may be wrong thou. i know Art set me up with a second timing curve for a 1:2, 100LL/93 mix. i have not played with it yet but he says ill never want to go back.

You can run straight AV gas without problems. It is a cheaper alternative to race fuels. Because of its desgn, it does not have the same "hit" as other fuels. If you mix it with pump gas you will get some of that hit back. Art is right, once you start running race fuels with higher timing, compression, etc you will not want to go back.

another question is whats better oxygenated or non oxygenated?

It seems the leaded VP fuels are non oxygenated (c12 and VP110) while the unleaded fuels are oxygenated MS109 and VP100

For ease of tuning I would go with the C12. Just mix with pump gas and go. MS109 will make more power, but if you try to run it staraight you will have to rejet.
