Racing in Canada

is there any? use to be at least one race a year Near Kelowna B.C, and the odd one in Alberta. now i cant seem to find info anywhere, if a guy was interested in racing at the amateur level, is the only option heading south of the border? given the east/west distance if canadian races are all back east then south of the border is an easier/closer option.. as long as they arent south east ;)

heck even just to bring friends out to watch and hooked onto the sport would be great.

any info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

Theres the wcwa, this season were gonna have 2 race weekends in saskatoon and 2 in fort mcmurray, there was talk of a kelowna race but tgey are harder to set up since most people involved in the wcwa are in norhern alberta and sask.

thanks, however those are both 15-20 hrs of driving each way.. id love to race but if i gotta drive 20hrs..im heading south down the pacific coast camping and ridding surf.
its a shame we dont have more canadian ridders united, giving the capability of having events in more than 2 area's.

got a link handy for the wcwa, would love to read up on it and follow whats going on

Jmike posted the link you want to watch, if there is a BC race it will be posted on that one. Nothing yet of course because we still have 2 feet of ice on those tracks!

not in Kelowna/ Vernon ya dont...boats are in the water already, tree's are just about budding...cant wait to leave camp, grab the dry suit and get the first ride of the year in.
usually its mid april but with such a mild winter and lower snowpack i'm trying to get that done by the 1st week of april..fingers crossed
